The Brazilian Butt Lift is an augmentation procedure of the buttocks that combines the excellent results obtainable through liposuction of the abdomen, hips and thighs with grafting techniques that create a more youthful and prominent buttocks and a more sensual body profile. Candidates

People with good donor fat (a little extra fullness in the abdomen and hips), and a flat buttocks make the best candidates for Brazilian butt lift. This is because the fat that is harvested through liposuction techniques is prepared and re-injected into the buttocks. Very thin people without enough donor fat in the abdomen, hips or thighs may be better candidates for buttock implants.

Procedure

The buttock is first contoured by performing liposuction in the areas around the buttocks to make them stand out more. Common areas for donor fat include the back- directly above the buttocks, the abdomen and the thighs. Note that even the liposuction alone will give your lower body a more attractive look.

The fat suctioned from these areas is carefully processed and purified such that only a fraction of the donor fat removed will qualify for re-injection to the buttocks. The fat is placed or transferred into the buttocks with special cannulas.

Dr. Mofid injects small amounts of purified fat into different areas of the buttocks and at various depths so that the patient will get the highest permanent absorption rate. Thus, the procedure usually involves 'hundreds' of micro fat injections. Correct injection methods are essential to achieve a uniform, smooth, natural appearance to the buttocks.

Results

The final results will be visible several months after surgery as natural swelling and some absorption of fluid and fat occurs. Patients are generally able to return to work in a week. A special body garment is worn for 3 weeks to help control swelling and guide the body’s tissues into position. The small incisions used to insert cannulas begin to fade just a few weeks after surgery. The final results include an attractive contour of the buttocks and more sensual form of the entire mid and lower body.
